1. What this site is

Skaltorix is an independent editorial project about Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario, published by Tomás Henriques. It offers general information for people planning a visit or curious about the venue's history. By using the site you accept the terms below; if you do not, the sensible response is to stop reading.

2. Information, not advice or agency

Nothing here is a booking, an offer, a reservation, a ticket, or a service of any kind. This site cannot make a reservation, cannot hold a room, cannot sell admission and does not receive commission from anybody mentioned on it. Every commercial arrangement you enter into is between you and the business concerned.

3. Accuracy, and its limits

The content is compiled from public sources and published in good faith, but it describes a venue we do not control. Season dates, post times, room names, floors, opening periods, transit routes and site policies all change — sometimes mid-season. Everything on this site is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Before you travel, spend money, or plan around a date, confirm it with the venue or the operator directly. Where we are unsure, we say so rather than guessing.

4. Content and reuse

The text, layout, code and site design are the publisher's own work and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with a visible credit and a link to the page quoted. You may not republish pages or substantial parts of them, scrape the site to build a competing directory, or present this content as your own.

Photographs are a separate matter: most are licensed from third parties under Creative Commons, an open government licence, or are in the public domain. The specific author and licence for each image is stated in the caption beside it and listed in the legal notice. If you want to reuse a photograph, follow its own licence, not these terms.

Venue, event, brand and transit names appear here for identification and description only. They remain the property of their owners, and their use on this site does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement. This is set out in more detail in the legal notice.

6. External links

Where we link out — to the venue's own site, to a transit operator, to a photograph's source page — we do so because it is more reliable than reproducing the same information here. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the fact it was useful at the time of writing.

7. Availability

The site is published as a personal project. It may be offline for maintenance, moved, restructured, or discontinued, without notice and without liability. No uptime is promised.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or from reliance on it — including a wasted journey, a date that had no live racing, a room or table that turned out to be unavailable, or a service that had changed since publication. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing limits your mandatory consumer rights under the law of your place of residence.
